Red Owl Photography by Tiffany Lausen I became a photographer because of a passion to celebrate this one life we each have to live. When I settled in Central Oregon, the creation of Red Owl Photography was shaped by my growing desire to capture others in their unique celebrations of life. I like to get to know people for who they are and to create artistic images of others that are a reflection of their true selves. It’s important to see the moments within the bigger picture—a touch, a look, or perhaps an expression. Most of my sessions with kids and families are outdoors so that natural light underscores the sentiment of each portrait. In these natural settings, children have room to play and be themselves so their little personalities come out in the imagery of each photo—and parents have the luxury of feeling less formal. For newborn sessions, I collaborate with the parents to find a setting and pose that best communicates the new relationship forming with the little one. Often this occurs somewhere in their own home, but there are endless options. During each session—no matter the age—we will have fun and work to capture the essence of each individual and phase of life. I regularly photograph sessions in the Bend, Sisters and Redmond areas and love to travel for sessions. One of my favorite aspects of my job is meeting new folks and discovering what makes them come alive. I’d love to meet you and work to capture the particular season of life you’re in and provide images that allow you to remember and celebrate those moments endlessly.
